Michael is a professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with expertise in the field of power system security and reliability and smart grids. He has extensive experience in the development of intelligent system applications in power systems, including expert systems, fuzzy logic, and neural networks. His research interests include knowledge-based systems, intelligent decision-making, and the design of hybrid intelligent control systems.  He has published numerous articles in academic journals and has been recognised for his contributions to the field with several awards and honours.
