OUR MISSION
Is to advance Australia’s transition to a clean energy future: By addressing the complex issues limiting growth in the renewable energy sector and developing innovative methodology and technology to facilitate widespread integration of renewable resources into electricity grids while maintaining grid stability.
THE CHALLENGE
Energy supply systems worldwide are transforming to a net-zero target. The pace of change has been rapid, and many industry sectors are finding the transition challenging. A clear and identifiable need exists for a new generation of electrical engineers with the skills and training to facilitate the energy transition.
OUR GOAL IS TO
Provide industry with a cohort of engineers with the multi-disciplinary skills required to facilitate the transition to a reliable and affordable carbon neutral electricity system.
What we do:
DEVELOPING FUTURE LEADERS
We provide education and training, scholarships and mentoring to foster the growth of future leaders in clean energy technologies.
TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT
In partnership with manufacturers and industry, we develop new technologies and products to address challenges and opportunities in energy transformation.
We develop and refine novel concepts in clean energy generation, transmission, distribution, market framework, customer engagement and renewable hydrogen to facilitate the transition to clean energy, while maintaining grid stability.
TRANSLATION & IMPLEMENTATION
We work with energy manufacturers, utilities, developers, and customers to:
Bring new clean energy products to market and remove obstacles for large-scale implementation in future grids.
Prepare power grids to readily integrate and more efficiently transmit energy from low- and zero-carbon sources.
Develop clean energy sources and storage technologies that are efficient, cost-effective, and reliable.
