About the speaker:

Imam Robandi is a professor of Power Systems Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). He received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ITS, the Master’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung, and the Doctor of Engineering from Tottori University, Japan. He received a special award for research encouragement from the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) in Hiroshima, Japan in 2000. His research interest is Applied Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Power Engineering including Large Scaled Power System, Renewable Energy Design and Electric Vehicle. He is currently in office as the chairman of Professor Board ITS, and as the chairman of Indonesian Professor Board Forum. He was a visiting professor at Tottori University, Kumamoto University, and Doshisha University, Japan. This year, he received 12 research grants from the Indonesian government. His research collaboration with the professors from Japan universities (Osaka University, Tottori University, Okayama University, Shibaura Institute of Technology), University of Bologna (Italy), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Tashkent State Technical University named After Islam Karimov (Uzbekistan), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), University of Wollongong (Australia), and Indonesian universities (Universitas Hasanuddin, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung).
