Maqsood Ahmad Shah is a PhD research candidate at the ARC Future Grid Training Centre, University of Tasmania. With three years of field experience in large-scale solar and wind energy projects and a solid background in Electrical Engineering, he is dedicated to addressing the frequency stability challenges facing future power grids with high integration of intermittent renewable energy resources. His research focuses on developing hybrid energy storage system based optimal coordinated control strategies to enhance grid frequency stability and reliability. Additionally, he aims to identify hybrid energy storage systems capable of delivering effective and timely frequency support.
