ARC FUTURE GRIDS TRAINING CENTRE - LEADING THE TRANSFORMATION TO A CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE
The ARC Future Grids Training Centre offers research opportunities for talented students interested in advancing Australia's transition to a clean energy future. Students will undertake research alongside leading academics, industry partners and other researchers within a multidisciplinary research environment.
The Centre focuses on industry-led research addressing the challenges of future electricity grids, including renewable energy integration, energy storage, power system operation, grid flexibility and emerging energy technologies.
Self-Funded Mphil and Phd Opportunities
A limited number of self-funded MPhil and PhD opportunities are available for talented students from top-ranked universities who are interested in undertaking research within the ARC Future Grids Training Centre.
Successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary research team and have opportunities to work with academic supervisors, industry partners and other researchers. Candidates may also participate in Centre-wide research activities, professional development, training and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

The specific research topic will be developed in consultation with the candidate and prospective academic supervisors, taking into account the candidate's background, research interests and available projects within the Centre.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
Hold an appropriate Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic record in electrical engineering, power systems, energy, or a closely related field.
Demonstrate a strong interest in research related to future electricity grids and clean energy technologies.
Meet the University of Wollongong's admission requirements for the relevant Higher Degree Research program.
Have sufficient financial support to cover tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of their study.
Both domestic and international prospective candidates are encouraged to apply.
